Hyatt Lodge wedding in Oak Brook | Chicago wedding Photographer | Sara + Shaun July 9th 2022
The suburb of Chicago is the ideal place to tie the knot if you’re in search of a place with both urban and natural facilities, experiential locations for your guests, and an outstanding talent pool for vendors from florals to food. From lofts, ballrooms, outdoor terraces, and museums, there are many different kinds of wedding venues in Chicago suburbs.
“We are most alive when we are in love.” —John Updike
Chicago has a lot of natural places, yet you can still feel like you’re in the urban jungle. This is one of my favorite things about it. This city is simply so timeless, with a rich history and stunning natural beauty. A great destination to get married because of the sheer diversity of locations. From blank-canvas lofts to opulent hotel ballrooms to cultural sites and institutions — all feet from magnificent Lake Michigan.
When they hired me to take beautiful photos their once-in-a-lifetime day. Meeting them was a great opportunity to know their love story. Now that I am already part of their momentous milestone in life, I call myself lucky. Moreover, I got the chance to witness the couple’s union as one as it finally happened a few weeks ago.
When we are in love, we are alive. Our eyes tell us something, our face blushes, our smiles get wider and wider every time. Being in love is a state of being complete, being whole. Feeling that you are not wandering this world alone. And for Sara, meeting Shaun is like finding a puzzle piece that’s been missing for a long, long time.
The cool breeze of Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook
I have gone through various captivating wedding episodes in my life virtually and personally but I do not think that there is any one that beats this wedding day. A wedding is a celebration that brings pleasure and joy to everyone involved including the family members and friends. In this case, including me as a photographer. It was a delightful summer day at Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook and it was characterized by the occasional peeking of the bright, sunny July. A cool breeze rustled in the atmosphere of Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook, giving a cooling effect to the wedding’s invitees as each took a seat on the white chairs horizontally arranged in the venue.
Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook can accommodate every type of event, from small family reunions to large galas with hundreds of guests. The team transformed the four corners of the place and matched Sara and Shaun’s vision of a wedding filled with steel blue, ivory, and gold.
Smart and simple aesthetic
Let’s face it: planning a wedding is difficult enough; adding these extravagant décor ideas might be completely overwhelming. Therefore, the couple wasn’t mistaken when they chose a simple ceremony design with white hues dominating the celebration as a whole. After years of tulle, taffeta, and lavish tablescapes, the idea of minimalism has now made its way into wedding fashion, and it couldn’t be more welcome. We prefer to think of minimalism as getting rid of excess stuff, cutting out unnecessary details, and being extremely deliberate about what you include in your big day. Everyone’s attention—including mine—was focused on Sara and Shaun in this understated and straightforward manner.
With Jimmy Choo, Reddington Bridal, Mens Warehouse, and Show Me Your Mumu, the looks were entirely pleasing and perfect—for the groom’s tuxedo and formal wear up to the laced, intricate long gown of the bride. Matching the simplicity and elegance of Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook summer wedding, the fashion and location were puzzle pieces matched together seamlessly. Match made in heaven, like the couple.
There’s a reason why white roses are a popular option for wedding bouquets. From the bridesmaids, maid of honor, up to the bride herself, they all flaunted white roses that symbolized loyalty, purity, and innocence. White roses are the ideal option for an attractive bridal bouquet because of their breathtaking beauty and beautiful symbolism. Sara made the right decision in selecting this crisp, clear color for her bouquets. And as a photographer, I personally like shooting things that are pleasing and calming to the eyes. Great job, Team Sara + Shaun!
