A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Jessica and Nicolas’s engagement session in the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe. Their traditional and lovely wedding took held at Glenview’s Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Jessica and her father made their way down the aisle. She adhered to tradition by wearing a large veil, which made her seem wonderfully lovely and royal.

I shot Jessica and Nicolas’ wedding ceremony, and as I listened to their officiant share the things they expressed about each other, I had shivers down my entire arm. What they both brought out in each other was the focus of not just their wedding ceremony but also the full day of talks. Overall, Nicolas and Jessica didn’t change much when they met; instead, they became more of who they always were.

We traveled to the North Shore Country Club for the reception after the wedding. A crisp white and green color scheme will never get old to me, and they executed it well. This marriage will last for all time. They got married in the most adorable, traditional, and timeless way.

Reception Surprise at North Shore Country Club

Jessica and Nicolas are both Polish, so I think that they chose a great way to showcase rich Polish heritage and traditions by inviting Polish Folklore dancers Wici during their reception. As a surprise for their wedding guests.

Jessica and Nicolas, you two make a great couple. I had the most amazing time helping you plan your wedding and sharing in your picture-perfect wedding day. As you and your relationship continue to develop, I look forward to documenting more exciting stages of your lives.
