my story

How it all started

Once upon a time, I had a camera - a really nice one that I bought when my daughter was born. I had dreams of capturing her every giggle and step, but let's be honest, that camera and I weren't exactly best friends at first. It spent more time in the closet than with me!

Then, out of the blue, my buddy, who happens to be a wedding photographer, needed a hand. She asked if I could tag along to a wedding to help lug around her gear. "Can I bring my camera?" I asked, thinking maybe it was time to dust off the old friend from the closet. She said yes, and off we went!

That day was something else. Amidst the hustle of carrying gear and following my friend around, I started taking pictures. Not just any pictures - I was capturing smiles, tears of joy, and those magical, love-filled glances between the couple. It was like a whole new world opened up to me.
The season rolled on, and we shot about 15 weddings together. With each one, I found myself more in love with capturing those once-in-a-lifetime moments. The laughter, the tears, the dance floor moves - you name it, I wanted to freeze it in time

By the next year, I was ready. I ventured out to photograph weddings on my own. I realized that what I loved the most was capturing the emotions, the stunning beauty, and all those precious memories for the couples. It was about creating something they could look back on and say, "Remember when..."

And that, my friends, is how I went from having a camera gathering dust to becoming a wedding photographer, chasing emotions and memories, one click at a time.

My sweet, beautiful

My passion & My life

I'm a single mom to a beautiful girl. I was given such a great gift from life. It's just a whole different thing, she is a miracle that never stops amazing me and reminding me to give thanks every day. Having a daughter gives me purpose. I was much more selfish before, but now I think about what kind of role model I'll be. I just want to be a better mom. When I come home my daughter will run to the door and give me a big hug and everything that's happened that day just melts away.

I am blessed to be a proud mom and to have a profession that shows beauty in every woman. I hope that my daughter grows up empowered and doesn't define herself by the way she looks but by the qualities that make her an intelligent, strong and responsible woman. She is my passion and my life.

Anyone who tries to run their own business I think experience on their own skin it is not as beautiful as people think. On one side, yes you are working with what you love but then the back end is really hard work. Especially when the life doesn't stop and throws at us some unexpected problems.

Let's be honest, 99% of us wake up every morning with the joy & excitement of wanting to go directly back to sleep.
That is why it is so important to find these things which motivate you to don't quit in that hard times. During my first years of trying my steps in photography, I had those moments as well. One day while waiting in line I caught a t-shirt with the U.S. Marine Corps emblem and the words "Pain is weakness leaving the body."

There’s a lot of wisdom in that quote and I decided to relate it to business. I wrote this on the wall above my desk and read it every day. It reminds me it takes time and hard work to achieve success.

A couple of years later someone shared a story of Deshun Wang on Facebook that caught my attention. It was about Deshun Wang, an 80-year-old Chinese runway model. He is best known for his impressive physique, but the truly inspirational quality about this octogenarian is his love of a challenge. Once I read his story I realized every time we doubt or think it is too late, we are simply giving our self-excuse. From that day on he become my inspiration.
Dehsan Wang says "Our potential can always be explored. When you think that it is too late... Be careful... Do not allow this to be an excuse to give up. No one can stop you from succeeding, except yourself!"

This is my new outlook on life. When I get shy or feel things are too hard, when I get lost in comparison or doubt myself, I go back to Deshun Wang life and his words. The truth is that many of life's failures are people who didn't know how close they were to success when they gave up. Thanks to Dehsan I don't see other direction than moving forward.
