The church wedding
The ceramony of this Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook Chicago wedding was held in Union Church of Hinsdale. Christian marriage is a sacred commitment and a happy occasion. Marriage is fundamentally a covenantal bond that is based on the steadfastness of God’s love. The happy event of two people coming together to exchange covenant commitments is the marriage ceremony. The pastor presided over the ceremony and officially granted the marriage the church’s blessing. The congregation unites in endorsing the union and extending encouragement and thanks for your growing family. Union Church of Hinsdale officiates at weddings for all couples, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, because Union Church of Hinsdale believes in God’s unconditional love for everyone.
With these reasons, it makes Union Church of Hinsdale the ideal ceremony venue for Sam and Kevin’s wedding.
Your church should be the first and most crucial call you make after your partner says “I will” but before you say “I do.” For the benefit of the wedding itself, every other call is made. Your commitment to the church is an investment in both the wedding and your future as a married couple.
Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook Chicago Wedding | Sam + Kevin
Beginning at the Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook, Chicago, is a happily ever after. Just west of Chicago in Oak Brook, the Hyatt Lodge can accommodate your ideal wedding ceremony and reception in one special setting on 88 acres of gorgeously manicured forest preserve.
Whether you’re looking for a stylish ballroom soirée or an outdoor lakeside ceremony, it can handle gatherings for attendees wearing brown, gold, ivory, and green with men dressed in cobalt.
How they met
Sam and Kevin met at work and hit it off right away. When Sam first entered their supervision group, Kevin immediately recognized something unique about her. Sam remembers Kevin’s unashamed confidence and Mickey Mouse sweatshirt. In order to spend a brief period of time with her after their group, Kevin would purposefully park his car next to hers. Thank goodness everything will end in marriage; otherwise, that may come across as creepy.
Admittedly, it took them eight months of awkwardly extended text exchanges, acting as though there wasn’t a spark, and a “happy hour” that actually served as their first date before they were able to start dating.
Meant for each other
Sam believes she has known Kevin is the one her entire life. She was always drawn to Kevin for some reason, and she was fascinated by his humor, cleverness, and absurd family stories. He’s been her closest friend and confidant ever since their “first date” and continues to be so. Sam wants him by her side through anything life has in store for them since she can’t picture her existence without him.
Their wedding song “I’ve Got You Under My Skin by Frank Sinatra” suggests you are quite annoyed with someone if they are “under your skin.” The phrase is twisted in this song because Sinatra is obsessed about the woman who has gotten under his skin. Just like the love story of Sam and Kevin, they definitely are now comfortable with each other’s skin after affirming their love in front of the church, in front of their guests, and in front of God.
