Guide to choosing Wedding Album Photos
With so many memories of your big day to sift through, it can seem overwhelming.
But don’t worry - this article provides some expert advice from a professional photographer on how to choose perfect pictures for your album.
Your wedding album is something that you will treasure for years to come.
It can be difficult to decide which ones should make it to your wedding album.

Do this on a computer or laptop (not iPad or tablet)
⚠️ Only think ALBUM.
Try not to think about who "has to be" in the album, but what images you want to be in your wedding album.
Round 1
- Select the photographs you do NOT want in the album, by simply moving them into the folder called NO1. After round 1, you should have at least halved the images in the main folder.
Round 2
- Go through the images that are still in your main folder and look at them as a group.
- You might have a couple of different ring shots or similar portraits, and it’s totally normal if you and your partner each have different favorites.
- Take a moment to decide together which one best tells your story and deserves a spot in the album.
- Then, move the others into a "NO2" folder, which will be for photos that almost made the cut.
- When you come across similar images, like four shots of your dress being buttoned up, ask yourselves if one perfect photo captures the moment. Often, one strong image is all you need!
Repeat this process until you are 100% happy with the selection of images.

- Open the link to your wedding gallery in Pixieset.
- Enter your email address and password if needed to access the gallery.
👉 View the Photos
- Browse through your gallery and take your time looking at all the photos. This is where the fun begins!
👉 Select Your Favorites
- Heart Icon: ♡ When you find a photo you love, click the heart icon on the image. This adds the photo to your Favorites list.
- You can do this for as many photos as you like, but try to keep in mind the number your photographer suggested for the album.
👉 Review Your Favorites
- Once you've selected your initial favorites, click on the “Favorites” tab (usually at the top of the gallery).
- Review your selection to make sure you're happy with the choices.
👉 Narrow Down Your Choices (if needed)
- If you have too many, think about which moments are the most special or meaningful to you.
- Consider including a good mix of different scenes: getting ready, the ceremony, portraits, details, family shots, and the reception fun!
👉 Share Your Favorites with Your Photographer
- When you're ready, click on "Share Favorites" (usually a button or link in the Favorites section).
- You may be prompted to enter a note or message for your photographer. This is a great place to share any specific requests or preferences for the album design.
👉 Finalize Your List
- Once shared, your photographer will receive the list and begin designing your wedding album!
👉 Only think ALBUM.
- Try not to think about who "has to be" in the album, but what images you want to be in your wedding album.
